A prominent university is upgrading from self-hosted Voyager 6 to Voyager 7s on Yardi’s private cloud platform.  The system was customized years ago to meet the client’s exact needs, and has reached the end of its useful life.  The client desires to increase operating efficiencies by decustomizing and implement Yardi’s Student Housing module as well as implementing e-signature for new and renewal leases.

This is a complex environment, involving integration to an external accounting system of record as well as several other financial systems and an identity management system.  The project also involves migration from Oracle to SQL Server as well as transitioning from self-hosted Voyager to Yardi’s private cloud platform.

Project Approach

We engaged in an extended planning process with the client, involving process analysis as well as risk analysis.  Extensive testing is planned and underway, utilizing a structure involving detailed test cases build around the client’s functional requirements.  We use a number of tools to manage this project, including Microsoft Project, Microsoft SharePoint, and QTest testing software.  Go Live is planned for fall, 2018.
